The Quest 2 at Tiger GPS features auto-routable, turn-by-turn, voice-prompted navigation with automatic off-route and detour recalculation. With the brilliant 256-color backlit TFT display, the Quest 2 is easy to read in any light. The waterproof unit has a rechargeable internal lithium-ion battery that provides up to 20 hours of use.
Smaller than a standard television remote, the Quest 2 provides an ample screen viewing area, but it won't demand a lot of room on the dashboard or in the briefcase. The unique antenna folds flush with the unit when not in use and users can connect an optional external antenna as well.

Spain-based Wikiloc aggregates thousands of GPS tracks for various outdoor activities provided by its growing user community. The layer not only lets you display the GPS tracks in Google Earth, but gives you additional information like the distance covered, the elevation maxima, a personal description of the trip as well as pictures taken by the user. This can be interesting to explore, and very helpful for illustrating a trip. It's great fun to explore hiking trails in the Pyrenees or in the Andes, especially when you take advantage of the 3D terrain by tilting your view. Or is water your preferred element? The U.S. Coast Guard transmits differential corrections to GPS signals (DGPS) via low-frequency (285- to 325-kHz) beacons. Transmission data rates are 100 or 200 bits/s.
